As many of you are now aware, Maryland democrats (not all of them, but all of those that voted to do this are elected Democrats) have made Maryland businesses and residences Gun Free Zones by default.
In order to carry into any residence, you must first have "THE OWNER’S AGENT HAS GIVEN EXPRESS PERMISSION, EITHER TO THE PERSON OR TO THE PUBLIC GENERALLY, TO WEAR, CARRY, OR TRANSPORT A FIREARM INSIDE THE DWELLING."
In order to carry into any business, you must first have "UNLESS THE OWNER OR THE OWNER’S AGENT HAS POSTED A CLEAR AND CONSPICUOUS SIGN INDICATING THAT IT IS PERMISSIBLE TO WEAR, CARRY, OR TRANSPORT A FIREARM ON THE PROPERTY" or "UNLESS THE OWNER OR THE OWNER’S AGENT HAS GIVEN THE PERSON EXPRESS 24 PERMISSION TO WEAR, CARRY, OR TRANSPORT A FIREARM ON THE PROPERTY"
**A copy of the law, which the above quotes were taken from, will be included at the bottom of this blog article.**
So what does this mean? Either ask and obtain direct permission- in such case I would highly recommend to have it in writing, signed and notarized OR have a sign posted in conspicuous locations like entry/exit points- as we see here below on the front door of Old Line Automotive.
NOTE: Yes this part of Maryland law does have a temporary injunction, ensuring for the time being that this one (and two others) aren't being shoved down our throats. I do believe this part of the law will never come to life and will be stricken permanently, be we have to be prepared for the possibility that it may survive judicial scrutiny.

And I will be starting an ever growing list of businesses that have made the conscious decision to either remain a Gun Free Zone (target rich environment) as well as a list of businesses that are standing firm in supporting the civil right of their clients by allowing concealed carry. I invite you all to send me information of both types of businesses. Email me at Ryan@ptpgun.com and be sure to include some substantiating evidence.
I will be and I encourage you to have this conversation with your local businesses and encourage them to post the sticker prominently on their front door. You can buy such stickers HERE
